Regarding the last journal, both my cousin and his wife are home now, and I should be speaking with my cousin over the phone tonight. I'm happy that they're on the road to recovery...But i'm still a bit cocnerned about the unborn baby.
Moving on, i've moved into the Azumanga Daioh fandom! I joined the ''Wonderland'' forums yesterday, and i'm just getting settled there. But in other news, I have NOT been sleeping very well lately. On Sunday night, I didn't sleep a wink! I was so tired I took a nap on Monday afternoon, and on Monday night, I didn't fall asleep until 1:00 AM. If you're scrathing your heads about my title and mood, here's what happened:
My cousin and his wife (Who live in Texas) were injured in a car accident early this morning.
Apparently, they were coming back from a Independence Day party, when another motorist (Apparently, they're still investigating what happened) lost his cars handling, and they both collided. My cousin now has several broken ribs, and he's having surgery on his wrist, and his wife has a broken leg. But this is what concerns me:
My cousin's wife is 7 months pregnant. My parents have told me that it will be fine, but i'm concerned about the baby having a birth defect, or being born prematurely (Apparently, she did have some labor pains, but they went away.). Them being injured is the least of my concerns, since I know they aren't severe.
In spite of all that, there is some good news...They'll both be home by Friday, which is great to hear. |

Yesterday, I went up to my aunt's for the 4th Of July. I went swimming in the backyard, since that's what I do most of the time i'm there, and I also watched the Firecracker 400.
But in other news, Report Cards came in on Friday, and I saw that I got on the HIGH Honor Roll...Hell, forget the honor roll itself, I got the HIGH Honor Roll...I was all like ''Cool!'', and my mother was just estatic. XD My GPA actually beat my brother's GPA...That's the big thing out of this week. |

At 10:50 AM this morning...Oh, the joy of getting off for summer break. It's a wonderful thing. Despite the fact that I will likely be extremley bored come August. XP Anyway, school is out, and everything is fine in the world...Well, in terms of myself.
And i'll be likely writing a novel this summer...I'm thinking of a plot right now, but it'll be a romance one. I'm not going to publish it, though...Unless i'm like, THAT proud of it, and other people like it aswell. BTW, my art practice is coming along fine. I think I get how you draw Anime eyes now.
Also, most of my Final Exam scores came in. Here they are:
English: 89
Math: 95
Science: 80
History ?? (Don't know yet)
Spanish: 81
I also found out that I got a 91 in Spanish for Fourth Quarter, and I got a 79 in the class altogether. I knew just about everything else besides that...So, i'll just wait for report cards to come in.

I took my Math exam today, and got my score aswell...95! I kinda dislike Math because it's all so confusing, and I get tricked easily...And yet, i'm good at it. o_o Anyway, after this, I have two abbreviated days of school, and then i'm done! Yay! ^o^ |

I finally admitted something today:
My artwork does not qualify for the average standard.
I'm not saying this because of a lack of confidence, or that I can't do it...I just need alot of practice before I start uploading regular anime figures to my DA Account. I'll be practicing not with the figures themselves, but more with body parts. For example, i'll look at a closeup of an anime-style arm, then draw an arm, and vice versa. I'm not going to stop uploading art completely, i'll upload some of my practice pictures to my Scraps. But I need to slow down a bit.
I'll be switching off to fanfiction for a bit, because I am actually quite literate (Save my plots. Those need a bit of work, but if I can come up with a good plot, I might be able to write a pretty good story.). I'm going to start with one-offs, and then do longer stories. I actually think I may do some original literature...It's cool, since you don't have to make sure you don't make characters OOC. But like I said, one-offs first.
BTW, regarding my works, I actually hit 3k on DA today. Not like that's too big of a deal. Come back to me when I have 10k. |

It's going to be a great weekend out, but I have a TON of Science review work to do (3 Packets, a list of terms, and our teacher won't give us textbooks....And I hardly remember ANYTHING from 1-3 quarter. DX). But i'm going to do it because Science is my weak spot (It's improved, though. I studied harder for Science, and my average in there should be an 83 from what I calculated.). It looks like next weekend, i'm going to have to study like my life depends on it. Oh well... |

Finals are approaching fast! I have my final test for English tommorow (No matter what, I have an A in that class. I have a 95 as we speak.), I handed in my big yearly assingment for Science today, and I have a test on that tommorow, then I have a test in Computer Tech, Health, and an Oral test in Spanish. And then, two days of review, and then I start my final. I'm confident about most of my finals, it's just Science that i'm a bit worried about. But i've done good this quarter (My average has gone from a C to a B in that class), and i'm signing up for the after-school review sessions....Okay, enough of my talk for now. |

For Memorial Day weekend, I've had a pretty big plate. I went to my Aunt's house yesterday for a barbacue, and today, I went to Yankee Stadium to see them play the Kansas City Cheifs. I'm no fan of baseball (I never quite understood the point), but the suite was VERY nice. We got into the suites because the man who invited us works for YES Network, and his house is a stonesthrow away from ours. The Yankees won in the end.
And then, I was home in time to see the climatic finish of the Indionapolis 500...And I was speechless.
Marco Andretti led with 10 yards left....And LOST to Sam Hornish. Jr. How Hornish got that run on him, I will never know. It now ranks as one of the best finishes i've ever seen in Motorsports since I became interested in 2001. And then, the Coca-Cola 600 was right after that. Kasey Kahne won that, breaking Jimmie Johnson's stranglehold on Charlotte Motor Speedway.
P.S...I am going to be buying a ton of Coca-Cola now.

There was nothing really noteworthy about today, other than a good test grade (90 on a Science project! Woohoo!). I did, however, find a new band. The Foo Fighters! I really like the sound of their music...Now i'm gonna have to go for a hunt for more of their music. XD
Other than that, just the usual ''Go to school, go home, sit at my computer'' routine. BTW, I think i might try customizing my Mood Tags. It's a thought, though. |

So, the NEXTEL All-Star Challenge is on right now, but it is currently....Raining. Ugh. It already rained tonight, and delayed the NEXTEL Open an hour and 45 minutes. Hopefully, it'll just pass through like the last shower did.
On a lighter note, it was pretty outside today. I went and got a sandwich from Subway, and i played about 9 holes of golf with my Dad in the evening. Golf is pretty fun, and I even drove the cart a few times. But I accidentaley turned too much, and the left side wheels jumped over the curb, and we were stuck for about 4 minutes. I was embarrased, if not shaken up a bit. Oh well, i'll try not to let that happen next time. ^^ |

Okay, i'll start off with what I liked about today...Today is NASCAR Day! (It's not a federal holiday...But a national one.). So I decked myself out in my Roush Racing apparel and I got ahold of the NASCAR section of the newspaper in homeroom. I kept it with me for the rest of the day. I feel bad that I didin't buy the pin, though....The $5.00 could've gone to charity. I'll buy a pin next year, then!
Anyway, now for this....I'm fucking pissed at my Science class. Our teacher was absent for two consecutive days, and out of 23 students, SIX (Including me) of them did their homework. The end result was not getting back the Science project we did when the rest of the team got it! UGH! >_< And I wanted to get it back so badly. I put alot of effort into it, and I think it paid off. I'll just have to wait until Monday, then... |
